CHILDHOOD FRIENDS

A friend from my past and present called me yesterday. We don't see each other often but always keep in touch. It is so easy to talk to someone you have known most of your life, before long an hour had passed. Deanne Fitzpatrick wrote this on her site last fall. It is something I think about after time spent with childhood friends.

"I love the feeling of being with people who know where you grew up, the house the family the friends. There is no room for pretense on anyone's part. You are what you are, you are what you were, you are what you will be and all of it is good, all of it is acceptable."
